PAWSitive Thoughts ...
Black cats in most cultures actually bring GOOD LUCK not bad, that's a misconception and utterly incorrect!
Black cats are said to bring wealth and good fortune in Japan. English brides welcome the gift of a black cat on her wedding day to bless her marriage with good luck.
Feng-Shui even believes that black cats in a pet loving home will keep your home safe and protected.

PAWSitive Thoughts ...
Many dogs exhibit symptoms of separation anxiety when you leave them home alone. In most cases, this can be avoided by conditioning and training your dog from puppy-hood to wait patiently at home for you to return. In my case I used kennel training. The kennel was never used as punishment!
We called it 'her room', so when we left the house we'd say; "go get in your room" and she'd run and be waiting inside wagging for a treat.
This was also where she slept at night - the kennel was at the foot of our bed - until she was almost a year old at which time she had earned the right to be left in the house. Shortly after, we removed the kennel and put a big fluffy dog bed in that spot. She continues to 'go to her room' and perch on the bed when we left the house.
