PAWSitive Thoughts ...
Parrots LOVE Christmas. My Nanday Conure used to yell "PRESENTS" each year when we hung his stocking near the cage! He seemed to enjoy the season so much that I got a string of holiday bells which played twelve different songs and would turn those on for him once a day. He would bob and sing, it was just too cute. I refer to him in the past tense, but Baxter is still alive and well, living with a woman who had more time to spend with him. I raised him for twelve years from a baby, but as he matured he outgrew me, so I sought a home for him where he would receive more attention and input than I could seem to provide.

One of the great things about having parrots is how easy it is to keep them entertained. Here is a fun thing I used to do. Get unsalted, organic sunflower seeds or nuts that your bird enjoys and put them in one of those small plastic balls with the holes in them and tie a piece of raw leather or bird safe cotton rope to hang it. They will love the fact that it rattles and they will spend hours trying to get the goodies out of it ...
this is really good for parrots to utilize both their mind and toes to stay healthy.
